What happens to the details you send me through the contact form, and how you can control them.
Who is responsible
This site is run by Vlad Polyakov, a product designer. I am responsible for the details you send me. For any question about your data, write to vlad.polyakovwork@gmail.com.
What I collect
Through the contact form: your name and email address, and, if you fill them in, who you are and your message. Anything else you decide to include in the message or in later emails reaches me too.
Please do not send sensitive details such as health, financial or government ID information. I do not need them to discuss a project.
The site does not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies.
How the form works
When you press “Send request”, the site does not store anything. Your mail app opens with a prepared email, and your details reach me only when you send that email yourself. The email arrives in my inbox, which is hosted by Google (Gmail).
Why I use your details
To read your request and reply to it, to discuss a possible project, and, if we agree to work together, to run that project.
I do not add you to newsletters or marketing lists, and I do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
If the EU or UK data protection law (GDPR) applies to you, I rely on your consent when you send the email and on the steps you ask me to take before a possible contract.
Who else can see them
Google, which provides my email service and stores the messages.
Vercel, which hosts this site, may keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser and time of the request, to deliver and protect the site.
These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards. Apart from them, no one gets your details unless the law requires it.
How long I keep them
For as long as we are in conversation or working together, and then no longer than two years after our last contact, unless the law requires me to keep them longer. You can ask me to delete them sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask me what details I have about you, get a copy, correct them, delete them, or ask me to stop using them. You can withdraw your consent at any time; this does not affect what happened before.
To do any of this, write to vlad.polyakovwork@gmail.com. I will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
This site is not meant for people under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their details.
Changes
If this policy changes, I will update this page and the date at the top.
